| we have been living in auckland & napier nz for several years and are more than ready to leave the country. i am b & b canadian (marketing & design), hub brit (architect large projects). we are both flexible re. work schedules /location and are liking the sound of warmer less rainy v island vs bc in general. also think the vancouver cost of living might be killer as nz dollars arent going anywhere useful these days... we have 1 18 year old starting uni and a 6 yr old indiana jones in training who is doing his best to minimise his time in a chair. i intend to start a business (high end market) much of which will work via internet. does the island have staffing issues? small town mindset? are people open to new arrivals? are planning laws a hindrance to building? is bc responding to economic realities with maturity??? our move to nz has been, hmmmmmm, awful, in many many ways and we dont need to repeat! your thoughts are appreciated. |
